microsoft money was the one discontinued but not microsoft streets and trips. microsoft streets and trips is not designed to use for garmin, and it is pointless to make it work with garmin as garmin is already loaded with maps, and basically has a lot of duplicate functionality.gps that comes with ms can only tell the location, while the software provides advanced mapping, trip planning, and map browsing in a way that garmin cannot do too well.i use streets and trips to help me look at my routes, optimize trips with multiple locations, and find other interesting information such as restaurants and poi. though my garmin can do this as well, pois only work on the spot, and it is slow. streets and trips make it easy for me to zoom in and out of the map, pan and search for information in blazing speed. i don't need internet connection to do this, so it works perfectly anywhere with or without wifi connection.garmin does not come with any road construction update, but streets and trips do, so it helps me avoid construction zone. streets and trips isn't designed to replace the simplicity of general gps such as garmin or tomtom. for navigation, it is still easier to hang a 7" screen on the windshield than mounting a laptop. streets and trips rival other mapping software products (note that i am not comparing with online mapping such as google maps or mapquest) with simple interface and convenient navigation.occasionally i find some maps are out of date in some areas, if not, it would have earned a 5-star!

does what it says. beyond the needs of most of course; to the poster complaining about activation requirements, i'm sure the open source project pdfcreator will suffice for your needs. especially if you think the deprecated .chm format could serve as a replacement for .pdf :-/

i don't have a vista or longhorn system to test this with, but using it to connect to xp, 2003 or 2000 systems is a pain. the extra layer of security is not yet compatible with the legacy systems (maybe if you installed the update - which is in the form of a kb update - on both machines). the session opens with the requirement to put in your connection credentials - which can not be authenticated by the legacy machines. therefore, you must set the client to connect despite the lack of authentication, and then type in your credentials again.i anticipate that with a compatible system, the connection credentials would pass through for logon as well - but that is only a guess.on the plus side, there are more videao options and the ability to select which local drives are available to the session, which is nice.i re-installed the rdp client for 2003 and i don't see myself using it again until i have a predominately vista environment or xp, 2003 and 2000 are updated to handle the new athentication method.

@radiomaffia"you keep rating it 5, i keep rating it 1 star, fact is that utorrent done something that didnt make it easier in torrentland, all the private trackers that i am using banned version 2.xx and utorrent 2 is useless to me untill all private trackers allow it and that isnt the case, we will see where it ends prespero.or utorrent delivers a clean version without utp or it slowly but certainly lose populairity and the days of vuze will rise again, i was looking to use halite but this client is also banned by a private tracker that i like to use..."but here's the thing: most private trackers have a list of approved and unapproved clients. a lot of them don't allow any version of, say, vuze. they only allow the old 2.5.x.x versions of azureus. does this mean that you would also give vuze or halite any of the other clients that some private trackers don't allow the lowest rating possible? somehow i doubt that. i can certainly understand a preference for other clients, i just don't understand why you seem to be on some sort of anti-utorrent crusade.but really, i understand where some critics are coming from and i can see how implementing new versions of utorrent when new builds are released so frequently could make more work than some tracker admins are willing to put in. i have no problem with a tracker not allowing the new versions that are constantly coming out as long as they aren't basically lying about their reasons for doing so. and as long as you'll stop saying that "all private trackers ban utorrent", which you must know by now is untrue, we can have a rational conversation about this.i just don't understand why you're willing to spread obviously false information in these forums. did the utorrent devs kick your puppy? ;)
